The V12 Zagato was unveiled on May 21 2011 at Villa D'este on the shores of Lake Como in Italy. Introduced as a modern interpretation of Aston Martin and Italian design house Zagato collaboration in the 50th anniversary year of the iconic DB4 GT Zagato.
Like the Aston Martin V12 Vantage on which it is based, the V12 Zagato is powered by a 6.0 L V12 engine with 510 bhp, and 570 Nm of torque through a six speed manual gearbox. The car will reach 62 mph(100 km/h) in 4.2 seconds and flat out it will reach 190 mph(305 km/h).
At its world premiere, it won the Concorso D'eleganza design award for concept cars. only 150 examples will be made. The V12 Zagato will be available in five unique Zagato print schemes.
The concept features a new handcrafted aluminium body with the front quite similar to the vantage and a heavily modified middle, roof and a rear section. Another extra is the endurance racing fuel tank carrying up to 120 litres.
In June 2011 Zagato concept cars 3,700 miles in the 64th annual Nurburgring 24 hour race. The cars were nicknamed Zig (the green car) and Zag (the red cars) and finished 5th and 6th in the SP8 class.
31 years ago the original Quattro was born. It redefined what a car could do over real world roads. It proved that four wheel drive was the thing needed for rallying. This show-car however has the Quattro's blood with Audi's modern technology. It was presented at the 2010 Paris Motor Show to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Audi's Quattro.
It's based on the RS5 chassis and the body is made up of aluminium using Audi's Space Frame Technology. The hood and the rear hatch and a few other parts made of carbon-fibre. These help to cut down weight to just 1,300 kg. This weight gives the car a very good power-to-weight ratio.
Instead of the RS5's V8 and DSG gearbox, it has a much lighter five-cylinder turbocharged engine and a six speed manual gearbox and anew generation of Audi's Quattro permanent four wheel drive system. It's the engine form the TT-RS but is turned length-wise and tuned to give out 408 bhp and can send the car to 60 mp/h from a standstill in just 3.9 second.
The design of the car says hello to the original without being retro. The Quattro's designer was Wolfgang Egger. A fact: when he was in Alfa Romeo, he designed the 8C Competizione show-car, which eventually became a production car.
Audi managed to shed a lot of weight from this car. The seats are Sparco specials, with light-weight carbon shells. The navigation system and the 'infotainment system'has been shifted to the gauge cluster behind the steering wheel.
The ST1 is built by Zenvo Automotive. It is a truly Danish super car. It is a 100% Danish design and this is the first time Danish design has been applied to a super car. Only 15 cars will be made and will be sold to approved customers.
The ST1 is a true supercar. Power will be supplied from a 7 litre V8 engine fitted with a supercharger and a turbocharger. The engine develops an outstanding 1,104 bhp of power and a massive 1,430 nm of torque which can be controlled with a flick of switch. The car will hit 100 km/hr (62 mph) in 3.0 seconds, while 200 km/hr (125 mph) takes only 8.9 seconds and the car will keep on going till 233 mph.
Zenvo offers keyless entry, satellite navigation power telescoping steering wheel, and leather electrically adjustable racing seats.
Despite its power and large alloy wheels, the car is small, at just 15.3 ft (4.7 m) long, 6.7 ft (2.0 m) wide, and 3.9 ft (1.2 m) tall. It weighs just over 3,020 lb (1,370 kg) thanks to carbon fiber body panels.
This is newest, biggest and the baddest raging bull from Lamborghini. Its full name- Lamborghini Aventador Lp-700 4. This car is to replace the Lamborghini Murcielago. It is also more efficient than the Mucielago. The shape is new but aerodynamic and truly Lamborghini.
The heart of the car is a Lamborghini V12. The engine is bigger than the Murcielago and pumps out around 691 bhp. The car will hit 100 km/hr (62 mph) from a standstill in 2.9 seconds! And the car will keep on going to a top speed of 350 km/hr (220 mph)!
According to the tradition, Lamborghini's new flagship bears the name of a bull- naturally a particularly courageous specimen from the world of the Spanish bulls. Aventador was a bull bred by Don Celestino Cuardi Vides which had shown outstanding courage during the fights.
This car is especially made for rich people. The car will be disclosed officially at the Villa d'Este Concours in Italy. Ferrari designed a very unique version of the 599, giving tribute to the 400 Superamerica.
The amazing part of the car has to be the unique roof. The roof will be made of lightweight but strong carbon fibre. And the 'Caribbean Blue' colour goes very well with the car. There are double water vents in the front wing, the fins has been integrated in the bodywork and the rear bumper is of the 599 GTO. The front intake of the car has been double to give it a sporty look.
This is the newest super car from Britain. It is called the Arash AF-10. Arash Farboud is the man behind this machine. The AF-10 is said to be priced around 172,000 pounds. The car is actually inspired by race cars seen in the Le Mans and other similar events.
So what do get for so many pounds? Well you get a hand made carbon-fibre body that is produced in Cambridge. The gearbox is from Italy! And the engine, Mr Arash Farboud obviously kept something for America and he went for one of the seven litre V8. Yes, the same engine that powers the Corvette ZO6. So you get 539 bhp on tap and a 0-60 dash in 3.4 seconds. Oh, this car also has air conditioning, sat nav, mp3
player and a touch screen console.
It is built by Mclaren Automotive. The design was unveiled 8 September 2009 and was launched in 2011. It is first production car completely made by Mclaren since the Mclaren F1 which held the record for the fastest production car in the world for for a very long time.
The car will feature a carbon fibre chassis and a mid mounted V8 engine. The car ill also feature Formula 1 technology. Mclaren has said that this car will reach 200km/h (124 mph) in 8.9 second and a top speed in excess of 322 km/h (200 mph).
When tested in the British motoring show Top Gear the MP4-12C completed a lap of the test track in 1 minute and 16.2 seconds 1.1 seconds slower than the Ariel Atom and 3.1 seconds faster than its key rival the Ferrari 458 Italia.
